the one with no fireworks

My little firecracker:o)
I bought this cute little hairbow when Mom and I were shopping in Franklin this week. I also got an adorable book called "Goodnight Tennessee". It is modeled after "Goodnight Moon" but it is all about Tennesse landmarks like the Opry, the aquarium, and the Rocky Mountains. You can go here to look at their selection.

We had fun cooking out at our house today. My husband makes some mean California burgers (from this awesome book) and they were delicious! We spent a lot of time out the deck because it was a beautiful day. We even tried Maya in her teeny baby pool. She was not so much a fan this time, but I don't think the water was warm enough for her liking. I got in with her in my lap and she seemed to be entertained by watching me splash the water with my hands. I think we will try again with some warmer water. We were planning to go to the firework show in Nolensville tonight, but it ended up that the weather didn't cooperate. We stayed at the house and made s'mores. Yum!

It was a sad July 4th in Nashville. There are lots of Steve McNair fans that are mourning the loss of our former quarterback today. It saddens me that a man who I have always thought was a pretty good guy, left our world the way he did. It has certainly been a strange week or so with the deaths of so many (Ed McMahon, Micheal Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays, and now Steve McNair) famous people.

Maya in her cute little swimsuit.

This is a 3 mo suit and I don't actually think she will be wearing it for long. This 3 mo old is quickly outgrowing her clothes. I have already put away a pretty large tub of clothes that she has already outgrown. I have already been pulling some 6mo clothing for her to wear. The 6 mo stuff is definitely a bit too big now, but the 3mo stuff is quickly shrinking on her.

This girl is on the move! Pops could hardly contain her because she was trying to stand up. She is one STRONG girl. I don't expect it to be too long before she is mobile. Guess we should think about doing some baby proofing!

Playing on the bed with one of her favorite toys

Wow, I cannot believe how fast time is flying by. I have to go back to work again next week and I will be counting down the days until I get to be back home with baby girl again. The fabulous thing is that I am DONE with my schoolwork! Hooray! I still will be taking my board exam in March, but the week to week videos and classwork is finished. I cannot tell you how excited I am to have that part done. It really has been too many things to balance and I am happy to take this one thing off my plate. Now I can spend more time on the really important things! :o)

She looks adorable in those pictures! We ended up not going to Nolensville either due to the weather. Nataly was sad :-(.
