the one with the funny sleeper

Now that I have a computer that will run photoshop, I have been playing around with it. It is pretty complicated and I want to get this book to help me. Too bad it's not at the library! I did figure out how to do turn this cute photo into a pencil sketch. Anybody have good suggestions for teaching yourself photoshop??????

And we have a funny little sleeper!

Look how she is all arched back! She has been sleeping great the last 4 nights and going 8-5 or 6! Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself....The last two mornings she has woken up on her tummy, so she is rolling over at some point in the night. That is her new trick! She has rolled both ways before but now she is consistently rolling to her tummy multiple times a day.

Other milestones: She is making all sorts of sounds. Her favorite is AAAAAHHHHH :) Though she has recently taken to this gaspy sound that I am NOT a fan of because it sounds like she is gasping for air! I have also heard ma ma on a few occasions. Not purposeful of course, but still! I have also already heard all the early consonants (m, b, & p) in her babble already. (You guys knew I would be tracking all the developmental stuff right???) She is also reaching and grabbing EVERYTHING. She has actually reached for me several times when being held by someone else. She LOVES to put her hands on faces-especially Daddy's. I have been amazed at her skills with a ball. She can grab it in both hands and pull it to her and she likes to bat it around near her too. She also is doing some pre-army crawl motions. She is pushing herself up on her toes and scooting her body an inch or so. LOOK OUT WORLD-it won't be long before this girl is mobile!

And here she is enjoying Daddy after he got home yesterday...she is quite enamored!

And we have mastered the hip carry in the sling now, which she loves because she can see everything!

We attempted a date night again on Monday. Well, I did fine, but little one did not. She is currently on a bottle strike and she cried a good bit of the time that we were gone. We got a phone call just as dinner was ending and we headed straight back. I got back to the most pitiful, whimpering baby. It broke my heart! But, as soon as she ate, she was all smiles! Please pray for my mom and Jared when I go back to work next week that she will easily go back to the bottle-I know they would appreciate it! Anybody have ideas on how to get her back on the bottle? She will take the bottle from me, just not anyone else. Otherwise, it might just be dinner for 3 for our 5 year anniversary!
