Now that I have a computer that will run photoshop, I have been playing around with it. It is pretty complicated and I want to get this book to help me. Too bad it's not at the library! I did figure out how to do turn this cute photo into a pencil sketch. Anybody have good suggestions for teaching yourself photoshop??????
And we have a funny little sleeper!
Look how she is all arched back! She has been sleeping great the last 4 nights and going 8-5 or 6! Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself....The last two mornings she has woken up on her tummy, so she is rolling over at some point in the night. That is her new trick! She has rolled both ways before but now she is consistently rolling to her tummy multiple times a day.
Other milestones: She is making all sorts of sounds. Her favorite is AAAAAHHHHH :) Though she has recently taken to this gaspy sound that I am NOT a fan of because it sounds like she is gasping for air! I have also heard ma ma on a few occasions. Not purposeful of course, but still! I have also already heard all the early consonants (m, b, & p) in her babble already. (You guys knew I would be tracking all the developmental stuff right???) She is also reaching and grabbing EVERYTHING. She has actually reached for me several times when being held by someone else. She LOVES to put her hands on faces-especially Daddy's. I have been amazed at her skills with a ball. She can grab it in both hands and pull it to her and she likes to bat it around near her too. She also is doing some pre-army crawl motions. She is pushing herself up on her toes and scooting her body an inch or so. LOOK OUT WORLD-it won't be long before this girl is mobile!
And here she is enjoying Daddy after he got home yesterday...she is quite enamored!

Photoshop Elements is WAY fun! I have 4 and 5 but not 7... really there's not that much difference. All my pictures are edited using it. I have basically just played around with a lot of the stuff but I have enrolled to receive a newsletter via email every weekend (free) and it teaches you all kinds of little nuggets to hang on to and play with to edit your photos. I will send you the link via email.
ALSO... go to abebooks.com and you will find that book you are looking for WAY cheap. It is a place that you type in the book you are looking for and it brings up all book sellers and gives you the best rate comparison and then you get to click on that store and go purchase it from them. YES. I just bought (and received today!!!) My "Digital photographer's guide to Photoshop elements" book for $1...YES $1.. it is originally $30!
hope this helps.. If you have any questions please feel free to email me I would love to help you out with your pictures on PS if you need me to. I am a great explainer if I need to be :).

She has some great how-to blogs about photoshop that are really easy to follow!
I have elements 7 and have watched a bunch of tutorials online, which have been pretty helpful. I usually just google it. Def. want to get a book though... Now my question is, why doesn't the darn program come with the book that tells you how to run it? Since when do you have to pay extra for directions? Gosh, if IKEA started that system, we'd all be sunk!
Let me know if you find some awesome tutorials or instructions!
