Okay, so I told myself that I would not become one of those moms that all she can talk about is poop. Well, here I am one week and two days into my daughter's life and what am I going to talk about.....yup, you guessed it!
Some of you know that we have been a little concerned because our little Maya has not had a BM since last Wednesday morning! I was in contact with the doctor over the last few days because we did not want this to go on for too long. I am sad to say that for the first time in my life over the last few days, I have prayed for poop. How many of you can say that???? I had a lactation consultant call me from the peds office yesterday afternoon (mind you after I had already been on the phone with the dr a few times and had an appointment scheduled for 8:15 this morning) and totallly FREAK me out. I told her what was going on and she just went on and on about how concerned she was and that it must mean that I am not getting enough in her and not producing enough, etc, etc, etc. So okay, thanks a lot lady, like I am not worried enough on my own, but trusting that the doctors know what they are doing and lactation lady feels the need to go on and on enough to completely doubt myself.
Anyway, Maya and I were at the peds office bright and early this a.m. Where the wonderful nurse, worked her magic and we had a pooper! I won't go into details about how that happened, but I have never been so thankful for poop! So, yes ladies and gentleman, I paid $20 at the doctor's office for a poop! Also, she is up 5oz from Saturday-so lactation lady was wrong :o)
Apologies for this post and now I am going to make every effort to never blog about this lovely topic again, but I thought you guys might get a kick out of our first little hurdle as a family of three :o)
And now some photos!!! I attempted a photo shoot for birth announcement pictures but haven't gotten quite the right one yet. Attempt number 2 will be tommorrow.
so happy about this
maybe mommy and daddy are not torturing me.....
seriously guys.......
okay, that's it - I HAVE HAD IT! :O)

OMG...I call those YUMMY pictures! I just want to eat her little cheeks. And make no promises this early in the game, you will SO blog about poop again. It's one of the joys of motherhood!
So glad that Maya made the poop! And, I really like the 2nd and 3rd pics, and think the 3rd would totally be birth announcement worthy! You must be very picky!
