the one with some funny pics and random stuff

Look at this silly girl!

Daddy and daughter

And all I can say is "Maya-no m'am". Not for 21 years at least :)

We had a fun trip to the park this morning and I really wish I had brought my camera (didn't because we were running) because it was really beautiful. I am thinking I am going to try and talk Jenny (hint, hint) into going out with us one day to take some family pictures out there. We did about 4 miles total and ran 1 (hey! we are building up). We are hoping to do a 5k in September and our goal is going to be to run the whole thing (with stroller in tow of course!)

Tomorrow is my last day of freedom :( and my extended maternity leave is officially over. I am soooo glad that I was able to ease back into working. I can't imagine if I was having to go back now for the first time-I would be a mess! Still would rather be home with munchkin, but I know that she and I will be okay (well.....I guess that remains to be seen with the bottle situation) She did take a bottle twice today. I had to start the bottle and then she would do okay being handed off to daddy. Fingers crossed that she will take the bottle while I am gone.

So these photos were taken with a flash. Our house is so dark (even in the daytime) and I am having a hard time getting good photos because my I can't get a fast enough shutter speed to take them. I have cranked up the ISO but it creates a lot of noise. Anybody have good tips or suggestions for taking photos of moving objects in lower light??? I have great photography buddies out there and I appreciate all the help!!!!

i would open up all blinds, etc. i've heard 1600 ISO creates less noise than 800 - just an FYI. I use 1600 quite a bit myself and it is noisy! Make sure all lights are on and the sun is shining in - just look for places in your house with the best light. There really isn't an easy solution to this problem... :(

the only solution I found, b/c we have great light, but dark painted walls, was to buy an external flash for my camera...good luck!

I'm typically a lurker but wanted to comment about your low-light issues. I'm completely an amateur, but LOVE photography! I found this gem and its completely changed the way I use a flash...

If you hop over to my blog the pics of Crista playing grocery store are all taken with the Light Scoop. That day it was rainy and almost completely dark..check the windows and you'll see. The Light Scoop does an amazing job and I would highly recommend it. It changed the way I viewed flash photography!! PLUS...its under $35.00! Good luck!
