the one with the twitter contest

Okay, so I entered this contest . It is for moms with new babies that twitter about their day-how perfect is that for me?! I needed a photo of us so I had Jenny help me with a photo shoot and we settled on this one above. I am so excited and I really hope to get picked, but they only pick 30 moms, so we'll see.

Maya got her first book in the mail today from the Imagination Library. I just LOVE this program! A book a month every month until she is 5. What a great way to get kids reading. Here she is with her very first book. She looks thrilled doesn't she?? :o)

Here is a photo of my irises in the garden. When we got married almost five years ago, we gave out iris rhyzomes as party favors. I planted several of them in the garden at our condo, which was our first home after we got married. I HAD to dig them up when we moved and bring them to our new house. I love that they have the story behind them. They bloom for such a short time, but they are so beautiful when they do!

Big weekend this weekend so I will probably have a big post with lots of pictures coming up. My sister Jenny graduates from college on Saturday, my very first Mother's Day on Sunday, and Mom's birthday is Monday too. Lots of photo ops to come!
