show us your life-baby gear

Kelly is hosting this blog carnival this week and I LOVE all things baby so here you go...

I original posted my baby gear recommendations here, but I wanted to update :)

Things I LOVE:
-LOVE my Graco pack n play. The basinet was perfect for her sleeping right beside me at night. The changing table was our primary table until recently when she is getting a bit big for it. She still sleeps in the pack n play without the basinet, right in our bedroom. It works for us!
-LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my babywearing gear! Love my Baby K'Tan. It was awesome as a comfy little sling for her as an infant and now she loves to be in the front carry. I also used my hotsling until she got too big for it. She can go in it in the hip carry, but OUCH it kills my back (of course this is an 18lb 6 month old we are talking about here). Jared uses the baby b'jorn as his babywearing gear of choice. I have a mei tai that I use some, but it isn't my favorite. I now SO want an ergo carrier :)

-LOVED LOVED my miracle blanket. Maya slept in her miracle blanket from the day she was born until she was almost 5 months old. She was a big fan of swaddling.

-Maya loved her Graco swing and it saved us many many days. When she was fussy, we swaddled and put her in the swing and it was almost always instant calm and sleep. She has pretty much outgrown it now.

-the boppy pillow is a must! we used it for nursing and napping and now for support for tummy time or sitting-it is great!

-LOVE her baby einstein exersaucer. it has so many toys on it and she play with them all!

-my babytrend jogger stroller is great for walks in the neighborhood

-love our little baby tub. we used the newborn sling for a long time and she still gets baths happily in her little tub

-Playtex drop in bottles. I started out with Dr. Brown's (too much washing of parts for my busy life)

-medela in style breastpump-makes life much easier for a nursing mom (tip: get the car charger!)

-we have been happy with the Graco Contempo folding high chair so far

-Costco diapers and wipe (i like the price best!) pampers are softer but hey they are diapers!

-i have a little canvas diaper caddy that i got at Target-it is perfect for changes anywhere in the house and it holds all sorts of other stuff (like baby nail clippers)

Things I didn't use:
-wipe warmer-didn't buy and haven't missed
-didn't do a travel system which was good for us because i don't utilize a stroller much. i use our jog stroller for walks and will use the snap and go when Maya is sleeping in her car seat. I typically wear or carry her. She is about to outgrow her infant seat, so if you have carseat recs let me know!
-haven't used my diaper champ....no real reason, just don't
-i thought that we would use the bumbo seat a lot more than we did...again no real reason, just didn't

Can't wait to hear about everyone's baby gear favorites!

I've read from many mom's now that the wipe warmer is just a waste so it's a official...I won't get it.
Thanks for your mommy feedback on all the products! I'm due in January :)

Got a good rec for the carseat. It's called the Fisher Price Safe Voyage and it is made by Britax, just about half the price. I love it. If you have any questions, need another cover etc... you call Britax directly. I think I paid 129 for Grace's. It is the same seat as the Marathon I think...love it!

I love our Britax Roundabout - I think that's the name! :)

My daughter was born on March 9 and I love watching what all the other babies close to her age are doing. Your little girl is beautiful!

love that top picture! is that the mei tai or ktan? so sweet:)

yeah, we never used our bumbo much either--although it was helpful for a short time for feeding--up on the counter exactly like you aren't supposed to!

we've never used our strollers much, either. it's just so much easier to wear baby!

we have two evenflo car seats and have been satisfied with both. one is a convertible (it can go backwards or forwards, called titan elite i think), and the other is a 20lb and up forward facing one, but they're both good at least through 40 or more lbs. one was 75 and the other maybe 65--way cheaper than those fancy kinds:)

Love this post! I seem to have done a good job registering for the right stuff! Im getting an ergo baby carrier but cant decide what sling to try first. Im going to wait until he arrives to see what he likes!
