As you can see, this was not a pleasant experience for Maya. She is not a fan of being naked in general and she screamed the entire bath-poor thing! (She doesn't like sponge baths either) She does love to have her hair brushed afterwards though. She gave Daddy a nice initiation into the bath routine. About 3 minutes into the bath, she decided to have a little BM-that had to end the bath experience pretty quickly since the tub water was then dirty! Hey-I am just thankful that she is having BMs on her own!
Life with Maya is great! She has a pretty consistent "witching hour" that happens sometime between 6-10pm. Poor Daddy doesn't get to see her during the day which is her best time. And during that 6-10 time no one is calming her down except Mommy. If that is our worst complaint, I consider us to be very lucky! She mostly sleeps at night (still have to wake her after 4 hours to eat). Though she is starting to get on a more regular sleep/eat schedule-yeah! She has so many cute facial expressions now too! She has pretty much been able to hold her head up from only a few days old and she did try to roll over in the crib the other day when I was trying to dress her. Aunt Sam was a witness- so I am not making it up! She is one strong little girl who I expect will be meeting her gross motor milestones very quickly!
Here is a picture of her where she is much happier than at bath time!

So precious!
Bear hated baths in the beginning too. We just put a "sling" in the kitchen sink and used a huge towel to keep him wrapped and warm in and washed him that way. We ended up with a very large wet towel but it was worth it to not have him HATE baths forever! And to not hear him scream the entirety of the bath!
Eventually we transitioned him to just being in a deep sink full of warm water and he loved it!
