the one with Baby Maya at two weeks old

Ahhhh! Maya is two weeks old today. I cannot believe how fast this is flying by! Mom bought Maya this bunny for Easter and I decided to use it for "i'm getting bigger" photos. This one is at two weeks and then I will do one once a month for a year to see how much she grows each month.

Milestone today: Maya lost her umbilical cord stump.

This picture is for Grandma and Grandpa Klibbe. They bought this sweet little bear outfit at Christmas. It is newborn size and I don't know how long she is going to fit in it, so I wanted to get her in it and get pictures.

We got five happy minutes in the swing yesterday. So far, she has not been a fan when she has been put in it, but lots of Moms have told me that their babies didn't like the swing until 2-3 months.

This one is for daddy! It pained me to put her in the Chargers jersey, but still soooo cute!
Thank you to the Hursts for this outfit :o)

I finally got Maya to cooperate with a photo shoot again, and I got a great one for the birth announcement. Below are some other cute ones from the shoot..........

Cutie pie!!! Okay, maybe I am a little bit biased :o)

I made an attempt at having her sleep in the pack n play last night. That lasted until about 2am, and then I gave up and put her in the car seat to get some sleep. She did do better than the last time we tried it, but she just won't stay asleep in it like she does in her car seat. We will just keep working at it.

I got out to my neighbor's baby shower yesterday. It really was the first time I had left her. I am not sure that it really counts because Mom went with me and walked around the mall with her for an hour while I stopped in at the shower. Everyone did great. Mom LOVED the time with her, Maya was good, and I enjoyed the adult time (but I have to say that I was ready to get back to her after an hour :o) Right now, I really can't fathom leaving her for longer that that!

Have you tried a sleep positioner? When Wiggle Man was small, we spent about two weeks sleeping in a chair with him, because he liked to sleep wedged between me and the arm of the chair. It took me a while to realise he just liked the sensation of being secure--more than swaddling would do.

I think we used the Sassy Crib Wedge Positioners. I swear by those "sleep wedgies" now. I also hear Miracle Blankets work wonders.

Maya is adorable, by the way!

Great pictures. The time does go by faster than you will ever understand!

as for the sleeping thing. I had both mine sleeping through the night from 10P to 7A by 2 months old. I am a "Baby Wise" parent and I love it. A lot of people are not into 'Baby Wise' but I am a huge fan of schedules that work for everyone and this is how that happens/ed for us.

oh my gosh...she just keeps getting cuter!!! Adorable, adorable, adorable! I love the black and white photos...aww, who am I kidding, I love all her photos! Can't wait to see you next week! As much as it pains me to not have you at work, I'm glad you're home with your little angel for the next several weeks!

she is too sweet! don't worry - kennedy napped in her stroller for the first couple of months! :) she did sleep in the pack-n-play at night but during the day the stroller worked great! ;) You will never want to get rid of that miracle blanket!! I still miss it~
