….is funny.
At times, it can feel like we have it all together and other times it can feel like the most challenging task in the world.
I feel on top of my game today (but it may also be delirium from loss of sleep). It was a rough night. Gray likes to ROCK at 3am. Nothing I do will get him back to sleep except the swing. I gave up and took him out to the living room and put him in the swing and I slept on the couch out there until Maya woke at 7 and then I put Daddy on duty with both kids so I could go sleep for a bit. We went for a family walk and came back and worked in the yard and washed cars. I got both kids to nap for ALMOST THREE HOURS. Yes, you read that right and no, I did not also sleep like I should have (and now I can barely keep my eyes open as I type). After the marathon nap, I gave BOTH kiddos a bath and then took BOTH kiddos to Target BY MYSELF. All in all I would call it a very successful day.
And here are some pictures from the last few days:
Thursday my mom and sister were nice enough to entertain Maya in the pool for a bit. ![]()
And Gray slept (because it’s daytime of course).![]()
My eyes are open! He is starting to stay awake for longer periods of the day.![]()
Jared is working late, so we went to my parents house and grilled out.![]()
This picture is funny because you can see me taking the picture one-handed while holding Gray with the other hand in the window reflection.
We had two red, white, and blue outfits and so we sported one of them today.![]()

And now I’m off to bed to prepare for my 3:30am party time (this has such a different meaning now
).
