summer adventure!!!

There are several things that I want to make sure that we do this summer while we have time off together. One of the things on my list was to take Ms. Maya to the Adventure Science Center. I wasn’t sure how much fun she would have since lots of stuff is geared towards a little older kids, but she had a BLAST! (and Mommy and Daddy were very sweaty and tired after chasing her all over :) It was great! Here are photos from our first summer adventure:

*apologies here for the ugly flash photos, but I wanted to make sure I captured our trip without worrying about camera settings

So I think Maya would have been perfectly happy to stay at the front entrance where there were floor fans blowing beach balls in the air!

We also discovered that missy really liked the train set and building blocks, so we will be looking for some of those for home.

Very intense work here people!IMG_4903

Her most favorite thing was the dinosaurs! She was obsessed! She kept going back :)

I can’t wait to take her to the zoo for another summer adventure where she can see real animals!

Her MOST favorite thing was going down the slides! I think she must have gone down them at least 20 times and every time she would sign “more” “more”. Too cute! IMG_4916  And Maya got a stuffed dinosaur that she is holding in this picture as a souvenir. And if you ask her what a dinosaur says….she says “grr”IMG_4923

And note to any TN teachers…you can get in for free if you bring your ID. I didn’t know that, but will for next time because that means Maya and I can both go for free!

And if you follow me on Twitter than you know that we have a house-showing tomorrow (yay!)

And I panicked a bit because THIS is what my bathroom looked like at 2:30 pm today:

With the news of the showing, Jared decided that he needed to fix our minor damage from the rains a few weeks ago, and that little project turned into a MAJOR one.

Kudos to him though because tonight it looks 110% better than it did before and looks brand new! Not bad for the first time he had ever done a textured ceiling!IMG_4928

Cross your fingers for us….. If this goes well and we get a buyer, then the time is going to be just perfect for us to get into our new house that is probably at dry-wall as we speak!

More summer adventures to come!!!!!
