I got to go to the park for the first time with Daddy this weekend. It was sooo fun! He took me on the big slide AND the big swing! He lets me be a lot more “dare-devilesque” than Mommy does. :)
I played in Mommy’s garden with her beautiful flowers. You know how I LOVE flowers! (almost as much as Mommy loves taking pictures)
I played hard..then I decided to sit and chill for about 3.5 seconds :)

We visited Lowe’s this morning (more on that from Mommy in a minute) and I DROVE the cart…how fun is that??? I have the coolest parents ever :)
Today we celebrated Mommy’s Day (and Grammie’s birthday)…. hence the confused cake :)
and that is three generations of “Ruth” women…look out world I am a force to be reckoned with :)
Happy Mommy’s Day!
Love, Maya
This is the new house actually a few days ago. We are still really hoping that it is going to be our house, but only time will tell. We have about 2 months before the house is done and that means we have about two months to sell our house. We were lucky and only suffered minor damage from the Nashville flooding and storms, but we found out this morning that insurance won’t cover any of the damage. I really am not complaining because there are people that have lost everything. We are just going to do what we can to make the necessary repairs. We just have to do it quickly as our house is on the market and needs to sell.
I am so proud to say that I am from Nashville this week. The way our city has persevered and pitched in to help one another has just been absolutely amazing. We still have a long way to go, but I know that anything can be done with the love that is here in Nashville. Please continue to pray for our city.
I feel very blessed to say that I have celebrated my second mother’s day this year. Being a mother is the most wonderful and hardest thing I have ever done. I admire my own mother 1,000 times over after this year, and I am so grateful for the beautiful example that my mother set. I strive every day to be the best mother I can be to my special little girl.
Happy Mother’s Day to my wonderful mother, mother-in-law, my friends that are mothers, mothers of special angel babies, and mothers who are waiting for their miracle babies.
