the one with the broken finger

So the floor project is nearing completion! Above is a side-by-side of the floors before and after in the living room. Yes, people think we are crazy for tearing up floors just to put new ones down, but we are so much happier with these floors! I have to give my husband major props because he started the living room floors last Sunday and they were completed by Monday night!

Then yesterday morning, he was bound and determined to get our bedroom completed in one day so that we could be back in our bedroom last night, and look what he did!!!!

Wow! I am so happy with how they turned out! Poor Jared actually smashed his finger with a mallet yesterday morning and it turns out that it is BROKEN! I went tonight to go get him a finger splint. He is a champ though-he finished the floors yesterday broken finger and all. There are some pieces here and there that need to be finished, but they greater part of the project is DONE. I am SO HAPPY with how it turned out and now I have no more yucky carpet! Yeah!

I spent the day, while he was working on the floors, in the nursery and at babies r us. I fought the crib mobile and won! I am loving how Maya's room is turning out! I have all of her little clothes washed and put away and the diaper bag packed for the hospital. Mom and Jenny went with me to babies r us to get the pack n play and to get all the little stuff I still wanted to get before she comes. Now, I feel ready! Mom brought the bedding by and it looks so great with the colors and accessories in the nursery. It is getting quilted this week and hopefully we will be able to have a completed room pretty soon-though I am now working Mom for the crib skirt-love you Mom! She really is a phenomenal seamstress and should be charging me big bucks for this!

Updates to come after my doctor's appointment on Thursday! Tommorow is four weeks and counting!!!!!!!

aww...too bad about the finger! Looks great! Is the den a different color in the first before picture, or is it just the flooring making the coloring look different.

LOVE the pink and green quilt on the back of the chair. So cute! Good luck with these dr appts! I used to get my hopes up every time...like they would send me to the hospital or something. I walked around dilated t0 4 and almost completely effaced for a month and had to be induced! (with both girls!)
These last appointments take a lot out of you...or they did me! Will be praying!
