the one with the baby shower

Okay, first thing....we have officially decided on a NAME! As you can see above, it is now plastered on the wall abover her crib. I painted these letters and put the ribbon on with only a little help from my crafty mom. Jared picked Maya out of a book a few months back and I liked it okay, but recently have fallen in love with it. We have been calling her that for about 3 weeks now, so we decided to make it official! Here is the crib with her name above it. The pictures don't quite to do it justice, but I think it is super-cute!
Next, I have to post a picture of this beautiful sweater that my sweet friend, Heather, from work gave to me. A lady at her church made it! I teared up quite a bit when Heather gave it to me because it is just so amazing!

We also recieved this beautiful quilt this weekend from Maya's Grandma Klibbe. Grandma Mary learned how to quilt just to make this for our little girl. She did a fantastic job! I know we will get lots of use out of it.

Pictures of the adorable decorations, yummy food, the gift pile, and the CAKE (specially made by Provence's Pastry Chef-Blair)-it was beautiful and delicious! Diane made the adorable diaper wreath!

Me and my wonderful hostess, neighbor, and friend, Diane. She made the day so special for me and I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful woman in my life. She is also expecting and they will have a special arrival about 3 months after Maya's debut.

I got to see so many special people today. Some that I see a lot and some that I have not seen in awhile. I felt very blessed to have so many wonderful people celebrating with me today. We also had some cutie-pie babies in our midst that made me SO excited about our little girl!

Some photos of me opening gifts. We are so grateful to everyone for all of the wonderful gifts for Maya. She got some adorable outfits-this girl is going to be styling! I got some great home-made gifts from my sisters. Britt made me a lullaby play list and Jenny made some cute onesies. The one above says "Don't make me call my aunt!" :o) My friend Lisa also gave me lots of great music. I had her son in my classroom a few years back and he decorated the gift bag above. He even cut out the hearts on his own-so cute! Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful gifts! See the photo below to see what my Mom and Dad gave us-what a great gift!

Here is Maya's crib loaded down with stuff :o) Thank you all so much!

Let me tell you that nesting is in full swing! I have been cleaning like crazy! I truly cannot get my house clean enough. Friday afternoon when it was beautiful outside, I decided that it was absolutely necessary that I clean out the gardens. My husband came home to me hedging the bushes-he thought I had lost my mind! But you know what?! My yard is all cleaned up and ready for spring :o) I then proceeded to scour the house yesterday. It was all I could do to restrain myself from opening, sorting, washing, and putting away all of the shower stuff. They are not kidding about these nesting urges!

Jared goes for his follow-up appointment at the dermatologist this Thursday. We would really appreciate your prayers as we wait to hear results. I felt better because my dad told me yesterday that if they were truly concerned about it they would have had him back in within a few days-and he would know, having been through it.

Can't believe Maya is going to be here in six weeks! Goodnight all!

Wow...I can't believe it's getting so close to time for Maya to arrive! I do love the name too! I also can't believe Diane is due around the same time as me...I'm for SURE bigger than she is!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the name! It is absolutely precious spelled like that. I think it already fits her fine! Isn't it so much fun to have the showers and get all the fun stuff... Makes the waiting even more difficult for anticipation to see her little self enjoying (read: looking adorable) in the gifts!

Blessings! And get it all clean while you can. I didn't get anything done for months after our little man was brought home. ESPECIALLY MY GARDEN!!!
