Snow Day!

Yup, the best thing about working for the school system is snow days! I am home for the day because of the snow. It was a surprise snow for Nashville. The weather had said we might get a snow/sleet mix, but no accumulation. Boy were they wrong! We got about 2 inches. That is very rare in Nashville, so the city basically shuts down because the city has no idea what to do with it! It took me two hours to get home from downtown last night. I do have to say that I am proud of the Nashville drivers because the ones near me were actually very safe. Everyone just took it really slow. I did not enjoy being 6 months pregnant and driving in that weather. I was tense and stressed the whole way with the traffic and the weather. I have never been so happy to get home! This is the reason that all of the schools were closed :o) I watched my poor husband skid and slide up our hill for several minutes at 5:15 this morning before he finally got out. It still took him an hour to get to work.

Cali loves the snow! She mostly loves to eat it :o)
