These are pictures from my ultrasound today at 14 weeks. Let me tell you...we have one stubborn little one! The tech could not get the baby in the right position to take the measurements that they needed to do complete the testing. I actually had to come back for a later appointment because she could not get it the first time! Apparently, I have a tipped uterus and the baby likes to settle down in the very bottom and curl up. We tried everything! I was shaking all around and we were poking my belly trying to get it in the right position. The baby does not like it's little home being disturbed either! I ended up having to come back with a full bladder so that it would put the baby in more of an upright position. We still had quite a bit of trouble getting it in the right position. It moved quite a bit while we were watching, just not ever where it was supposed to (hmm....any guesses where the baby gets the stubborness from?-I am saying Jared-ha ha!) The baby opened and closed it's mouth, got hiccups, and moved it's little arms and legs all around all while we were watching. From the side, it has a very sweet profile, but when it faced us-it looked like an alien! I think we are going to have a little thumb-sucker because the hands kept going to it's mouth. It was so cool! We loved every minute of it!-well except maybe the belly-poking (I have to say not the most comfortable thing in the world). I go back in four weeks, and then 3 weeks after that we should have another ultrasound and find out the gender.

Well, gee, I didn't realize you were having another ultrasound today! Didn't you just love the little heartbeat thumping away!?! I'm glad everything is going well...I can't wait to see the little guy! (and yes, I still think it's a boy...I believe in the pencil test :o) Hope your sickness goes away soon!
