We went to the doctor today. It was a pretty quick visit, but we got to hear our little baby's heartbeat. We both loved it! It was over too quickly though. I was a little worried at first, because it took her awhile (probably really only about 5 seconds) to find the heartbeat. I have been worrying because despite my baby bump, I still have not gained any weight. I asked Jared this morning, "What if the baby has stopped growing?" So, I was very happy to hear that little heart beating away. The doctor said that it is not surprising that I haven't gained any weight given my appetite. She said that the baby is getting what it needs, and not to worry about it.
I actually am going back on Monday to have a tri screen done. It is just bloodwork and an ultrasound. The doctor said that there is a possibility, if the baby is positioned right that we might see the gender at this visit! Otherwise, it will be another 7 weeks before the "big" ultrasound.
I am finally starting to feel a little better. I am still having bouts of nausea and no appetite, but it is not as much all day anymore. I am anxious to start really "showing"! I will post more pictures soon.

How Exciting!!! I can remember the first time Scott and I heard Adyson's heart beat...it was the best sound I'd ever heard (her initial cries after she was born quickly took it's place). Every time I went to the OB I worried until I heard her heartbeat, and no matter the number I always had to ask "Is that number okay?" I think as mothers we will ALWAYS worry about our children, so just get ready for a long ride:) I'm so excited I get to follow your pregnancy via the blog...I love babies!!! Take care:)
Uh..I can't believe you didn't call me immediately after your appt! What the heck! It took my ob forever to find the heartbeat the first time to the point that they made me go pee, and then had to bring in the sonogram machine..Brett, as you can imagine, was freaking the heck out! Obviously, they found him!
