Years from now I want to be able to remember what life was like with two little kids, so I want to start writing “a day in the life” posts to just document what we do in a day. So here goes…
Jared was up and getting ready for work at 4:15. Gray woke up and I changed him and fed him and he got put back to sleep in his swing (because for some reason after 3am that is the only place he will go back to sleep). 
Around 7:30 he woke again and big sister woke around the same time. I went to get her and we all came out in the living room. I fed Gray and Maya played. Then Maya and I had breakfast and Gray sat with us.
Gray generally takes a nap at 9, so I laid him down and Maya and I did a few chores around the house and then went outside. For once, it actually wasn’t too bad and we played outside for about an hour. She played in her swing, pushed her baby in the swing and collected some rocks.
I took some photos of the garden (which is horrendously full of weeds…driving me crazy!!)
This is our “buzzy buzzy bush” (butterfly bush), that is seriously struggling with our lacking rain. 
And a pretty flower of of a bush that I can never remember the name of…
We came in and Gray was still sleeping, so I decided to try and do some quick exercising and Maya did it with me. Really wish I had pictures of that! We did a 10 minute cardio burn.
Then we had a little lunch and showed a little food
Then I laid her down for a nap, and Gray woke up.
I fed, changed, and cuddled him for a bit and then I had to shower so I brought him back in the bedroom and put him in his bed. He cooed and played while I showered, but then he got ticked and screamed while I quickly got dressed and put a little make-up on.
I went to get big sister and we all loaded up in the car to go to Mimi’s house because I had to go into work for a little bit.
I went to the office and learned how to do the paperwork for my new job, then went back and got the kiddos.
We got home and played for awhile while a pizza cooked.
We ate dinner together and Gray watched us from his swing (poor guy is going to have an aversion to swinging when he is older!)
Daddy gave Maya a bath and I cleaned up dinner and then played with Gray on the floor. Maya came back and read books to us (she no longer lets us read to her!)
Then it was bedtime for the kiddos! And Bachelorette time for Mama!
And that is a day in the life right now with a 7 week old and a 2 year old….
