It has been a long day at our house. I’m not sure what was going on with Maya last night, but she decided that she did not want to sleep. I was up with her from about 11 until 3am and slept a little on the floor of her bedroom, and then Jared was up with her from 3-6am. I don’t know if she is getting teeth or trying to get sick or just too excited about Christmas. Whatever the reason, there was not much sleeping at our house last night. Let’s hope that tonight is a better sleeping night for all of us!
We “woke up” to a dusting of snow that we were not expecting and headed out to the hardware store. 
Jared spent the day painting Maya’s room. I am going to wait to share pictures as I am finishing up some touches and want to share when it’s done 
Then we headed to my parent’s house. My Dad likes to have a little holiday party because my Mom spends so much time decorating their house for the holidays.

and the new stockings this year….the family is obviously growing. There will be at least one more stocking there next year!
Maya was super “helpful” in the kitchen by hugging everyone’s legs
And this is her “why” shirt. She calls it that because of the part in the Grinch when Cindy Lou Who says “santy claus, why? why are you taking our Christmas tree? why?”Ha! She loves her shirt from Aunt Jenny!
And she enjoyed playing a little guitar with Pops!
We have several more parties to go to over the next few days, so I will be sharing lots more Christmas fun!
