I am on a roll, so I figured I would just keep going...
DAY 5
We got Maya her first pair of goggles because poor girl's eyes were so red from swimming in the pools in the afternoons. She wanted to try them out at the beach.
This was critter-catching day. Maya was convinced that Daddy was gonna catch her a fish!
He pretty quickly caught her some cool little crabs. One of which was promptly named
"Mr. Diggy Dig" He was really cool to watch digging himself down under the sand.
He also did manage to catch her a tiny little fish.
She was quite thrilled with her critters.
Gray taking a little more to the beach
We went home for a rest, then came back out to the beach for some more fun.
Burying daddy in the sand....
and some kite-flying
That night we headed back to seaside and hit up the taco bar. Yummy shrimp burrito!
DAY 6
It was a dark and stormy morning. This was the one day we woke up to rain, and not just rain, but thunder and lightning. We kept watching the weather radar to see when it was going to move on, but it just kind of stayed on top of us for the morning. The weather finally cleared and we headed back to the beach early that afternoon.
This was a big sand day. Very elaborate tracks were made on the beach for Gray's truck which included a cool underground sand tunnel.
little man and his beloved truck
Love this one of Maya with her Mimi and Pops
And Jared, Jenny, and I visited the famous Wine Bar. Mom and Dad had gone the day before and raved about it. We had delicious cheese, crab cakes, and ahi tuna.
This night we got dinner and a show. One of the servers started talking about this crazy old lady that lived above the wine bar whose little dog barks on the balcony above the restaurant and she plays classical music loudly to compete with the bar's music. Sure enough the little dog came out and was barking loudly and then we heard the music. AND THEN several rocks (or something) came flying down at our table from her balcony! She was chucking rocks down at us! It was nuts. As we left the bar, we saw her videotaping customers down below. It was interesting to say the least! We headed back to seaside and hit the shrimp shack for a beach side seat.
Day 7 is the last day at the beach and by far the fullest day, so stay tuned....
