mothers

I got to celebrate my 3rd Mother’s day this year. Unfortunately, Jared had to work, so Maya and I had a pretty regular day of going to the grocery store, napping, and then playing in her water table. Jared was very sweet and brought me flowers and took us to the vineyard to picnic and then made us a nice dinner after Maya went to bed.

It was a great mother’s day for me. It is a day that is wonderful for many mothers, but also a day of great sadness for women who long to be mothers. I remember those all too well and I can’t help but think about those women on mother’s day. I hope and pray that their day will come soon.

Being a mom , I can only now truly appreciate my own mother. Watching her be a grandmother to my little girl has been such a wonderful experience. Her love and encouragement has made me the mother I am, and I am forever grateful to her for that.

And I am a brave soul posting this photo, but here I am with less than six weeks to go. WHOA!IMAG0017

I can’t believe I posted this, but it is motherhood, stretch marks and all.

Happy Mother’s Day and love and hugs to Mommy’s that are waiting for their turn.
