HOT day!

Phew! We are having an early heat wave here this year. It has been hovering in the high 90s and near and above 100 degrees. Right now at 8:45 pm it is still 88 degrees.

We have been working hard to stay cool!IMG_5605e2

Her water table has been a saving grace. Not only does she LOVE it, but it helps to keep her cool in this heat.IMG_5608e2

I don’t know why, but I just love this picture of her little sweaty curls :)IMG_5620e

She helped Daddy to plant some flowers after he got home from work today.IMG_5637e

She even had her very own shovel.IMG_5639e

BUT, she liked the real shovel better.IMG_5643e IMG_5645e IMG_5647e

She always asks for her “vroom vroom” when we are outside :)

These are my neighbors black-eyed susans. I love these plants and if we move into a new house, I told Jared I want a place to plant these. We have no room for them at this house! (story of my life :)

Speaking of the house. We had our 10th showing yesterday. I was very encouraged because I saw them taking a picture of the house. Oddly we haven’t gotten any feedback at all from this showing and typically we have feedback within about 12 hours. I have to say that I really am okay with whatever happens. The new house will be done in the next few weeks. It is officially on the market for others to buy, so if someone makes an offer there is nothing we can do. I have had it reaffirmed time after time that there is a reason for everything, and so I feel very confident that if this doesn’t work out, then it is not supposed to and there will be another house that will be our house. It is hard for me but I constantly remind myself to trust God because I know that his plan is bigger and better than mine. He has shown me that time after time. So I will have faith.

It's hard to believe that things happen for a reason when you want something so specific to happen, but if I have learned anything from my recent experiences, you just kinda have to let go and go with it no matter how tough it can be. :)
