Happy 2010!

Wow, what an amazing year! This was me about the same time last year and 28 weeks pregnant.

It has been an amazing year for our little family and we are so blessed. I am so thankful for all our many blessings.

There are family and friends near and dear to my heart that 2009 has not been so kind to them and I hope and pray that 2010 brings peace and happiness to them.

I made my resolutions last year and now it’s time for me to see how I did…

1. Be back to or below pre-baby weight by the end of the year

Okay, yeah, next…….(just kidding). This one I have not done so well on, but hubby and I plan to get very serious about our eating and exercising starting tomorrow. My extra motivation this year is that I have  a little one moving on to table foods and I want us all to have healthy eating habits.

2. Spend time everyday with our little girl just appreciating the miracle that she will be, and remember to rejoice even in the not-so-fun parenting moments.

I think I have done a pretty good job of this one. I am not perfect by any means and I will always strive to be the best mother possible, but I have worked very hard not to take one day for granted with her.

3. Be a better listener. I am aware that this is not such a strong skill for me. I love to be the talker, and I also have lots going on in my head that distracts me from listening. I have to really concentrate on listening, and I know how important it is to be a good listener.

I think I am better, but something that I should continue to work on.

4. Pray every single day.

Okay, I didn’t every day, but I have been more consistent and we are praying as a family.

5. Finally, get that credit card paid off-quite a lofty goal, but a good one!

Yeah….still working on that one.

2.5 out of 5 isn’t bad right???

Okay so my 2010 resolutions:

1. Work on overall health which includes eating better and getting into an exercise routine.

2. Finally get that credit card paid off (and actually do it this time).

3. Really put some effort into my photography and see what I can do with it. (I am not exactly sure what that means yet, but I want to continue to learn and practice)

4. Focus even more on my family and spending quality time with each other when we have it. We don’t always have a lot of time together and I want to make the most of the time that we do.

Happy 2010 everyone!

I am looking forward to all the things it will bring.
