I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone. It is always my favorite time of year. I did almost all of my shopping online so we only had a few errands over the weekend. We saw the lights at Jellystone Sunday night which was so much fun and will become a new tradition. My mom and dad always made Christmas so special for us growing up and I love the family traditions that we are creating and carrying on.
Making and decorating cookies is one tradition we do do every year.
I think eating the cookies was their favorite part
Leaving cookies for Santa
Buddy the elf left a note for the kids that said his magic would be lifted right before bedtime so that they could give him a hug and kiss goodbye before he headed back to the North Pole.
Maya started running a fever and wasn't feeling too great. She didn't get much sleep Christmas Eve night and was up super early.
Stockings!
Maya asked Santa for Dora and Boots roller skating.
All Gray asked Santa for was "a little blue bear" which he did bring riding on top of this super cool car carrier truck that Santa just knew Gray would love and he does.
Grandma and Papa were here and Papa surprised everyone when he came down as Papa Elf!
Maya was so excited about giving presents to others this year. I got to open her present to Jared and I first. I love it!
Then she gave Gray his present that she picked out all on her own.
Maya was very into opening presents and Gray just wanted to play with toys. He wouldn't open a present until we started it and showed him what was inside, then he wanted it out! It was the year of cars, trucks, planes, and trains for him.
Aunt Jenny spent Christmas with us too!
Maya and one of her favorite toys…her microphone with a stand
Grayson playing with his Chuggington train set.
Both kids were not feeling great Christmas day, but we had a nice day anyway. We talked to lots of family on FaceTime and ate yummy food.
Today the kids are feeling worse and the doctor said that they likely have the flu. So much for the flu mist they got! I hate that the kids are sick but we have had two very low key days spending time as a family.
I missed having my family here at Christmas, but they enjoyed Christmas in Boston, and we will have Christmas with them next week.
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed time with family and friends!
