I am many days late on this post and I have an unhappy crying picture. Well, what are you gonna do. He really did not want his picture taken.
He is such a sweet little man, but oh boy is he becoming "two" lately. When his happy, he is SO happy, but when he is sad or mad oh boy. He is so verbal. It just blows my mind how much he is talking. I think that working with kids that have delays in language in communication sometime skews my view of language acquisition, but this little guy is talking up a storm. Maya wasn't that way. She is super verbal now, but at Gray's age she was just putting two words together. Some of the things he comes up with just crack me up. Today as we were heading outside to play he said "Mommy i coming....don't weave me!" As if I ever leave him...silly boy. I laughed because i looked back at pictures from Maya's 2nd birthday and she was still in a high chair. We sold the high chair six months ago and gave up on putting him in the booster seat 2 months ago. He wants to be a big just like sissy.
He is obsessed with time out. We went to a neighborhood party and the two dogs got into a fight near him over a bone. They were taken upstairs and he has been talking for over a week about the dogs going to time out for "not being nice!" He knows all about time out because he has spent some time there himself. He has taken to hitting people and thinks it's funny so to time out he goes.
I am really enjoying that they are able to play together now...although it also means that I spend most of my time with them refereeing fights.
We are enjoying the warmer weather so much! I am loving that Grayson is able to play outside without so much supervision from me. It is allowing me to do some gardening, which I really missed last spring and summer. Jared built us a vegetable garden which we are all really excited about. I think we probably lost our tomatoes in the frost the other night, but we are also growing herbs, peppers, and strawberries.
This is the kids checking out a wooly worm in the yard.

Maya holding the wooly worm.
The kids are so into bugs and critters right now. We are checking our baby birds every day and i got the kids bug jars over the weekend. You should see the size of the worm i caught for Maya today. And if you know me, you know how crazy that sentence sounds. Grayson didn't want to hold it, but he did touch it.

My big four year old went and got her library card. She was very proud.
Days and weeks are not easy around here, but I am so very thankful for every day that I have with these guys. I wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world. I am one lucky mommy!
