beautiful weekend

It was a beautiful spring weekend here. We didn't really have any plans, but it was one of those weekends that was full because we did what we wanted and just had fun.

Saturday I took the kids to breakfast at Panera because we didn't have any milk at home. (shhh don't tell) Then we went to a big parking lot to ride bikes, to watch some friends' soccer game, to lunch with Mimi and Pops, and then home for some rest. I then braved taking the munchkins by myself to our local Buttercup Festival.

Maya got her face painted

And had some fun in the bounce house. Grayson made me a little nuts here. He wanted to go in so badly and then every time he tried to climb in he whined and came back out. I tossed him in twice and he laid on his face and cried. FINALLY he went in and had a blast bouncing. Then, of course, I had to go in after him when it was time to go.

We came home and played outside and waited for Daddy to get home from work.

Played a little tee ball

Which then Gray insisted that the bat was a "IIIITAR" (Gray speak for "guitar")

I really wish I had their little performance on video. It was quite hysterical.

A little big sister coaching

Today we spent lots of time outside again.

And we discovered our first baby bird eggs. The kids were so excited!

I am so happy and excited for this beautiful spring weather and all of the fun we are going to have.
