Yup, he’s 14 months old. So much less a baby now and more a little boy.
I am a few days late on this update, but I’m gonna give myself a break because this is my fourth year of keeping up with monthly updates.
Of course, he he got his first haircut. Not by my choice, but I think he still looks pretty stinkin’ cute.
This boy loves him some stairs. Good grief. Jared finally rigged the baby gate so that it actually blocks the entire set of stairs. (before it was a few steps up and allowed him to climb some of them) So he of course had to practice on the set in the garage today.
I was exhausted after chasing him all over Monkey Joes (bounce house city) the other day.
He is still a big time eater. He has started going to the fridge and pulling on the handles when he wants to eat.
The biggest thing that has changed this month is words! He is imitating so many sounds and words. These are words I think I can claim he uses: “uh oh”, “mama”, “dada”, “dog”, “cup”. I think he has even said “Maya” and I could swear he said “park” the other day when I told him we were going to the park. He started signing “all done” and will wave “bye bye”. He loves to give high fives.
He is really into imitating sissy. Last night he was putting his face in the water after she showed him how. Of course he loved the huge cheers he got for doing it and kept doing it.
BIG SISTER
Playing with her little mermaid princess doll. She is very into her princess barbies and plays with them for much of the day. 
She loves books and reading them to us. She also really loves to play games. Operation is the newest one and she is actually surprisingly really good at getting the little pieces out with the tweezers.
Washing her bike. Which she also LOVES to ride. I am wondering if a new big girl bike might be in her future…
Of course, she had swim lessons this month. And we were very happily surprised at how well she did in the pool with us when we went this week. She was going under on her own (doing “bobs” as they are called). She is also able to kick on the kickboard all on her own. She is much more comfortable putting her face in and jumping in.
She is very into art and is drawing people. I thought this drawing was the coolest thing!
She visited her new preschool last Friday and has her first day of big school tomorrow. She is going to be at a local elementary school and goes through the drop off/pick up line and everything. Ever since we went on Friday she has asked every morning if it is a school day. I think she is pretty excited. I can’t wait to hear about her first day tomorrow.
Of course, there will be a first day of school picture tomorrow!
