Meet Elsa!
I bet you could never guess who named her???
Maya has been begging for a kitty ever since Sunny died two years ago. We kept saying no, but we (meaning Jared), finally caved. These little kitties became available on the local website and this little one was just too cute for words.
She has really done great. She was already litter trained, and sleeps well alone in the bathroom at night. And she has been VERY tolerant of the kids. I am questioning my sanity as I say "let her go" for the 300 millionth time. How fitting right? "let her go, let her go, can't hold it back anymore"..yeah...
I have enjoyed taking some photos of her. She is a more willing participant than my two kids.
And Maya just loves her to pieces.
She is a tiny little thing. The runt of the litter, just like Sunny was. She is just as sweet as can be.
She already has found her favorite perch on Jared's shoulder in the evenings. He won't admit but he kinda likes her too.
We are out for the summer and I am SO HAPPY. It is so nice to feel a lot less stress. Knowing that all I have to do is take care of the kids, right, THAT'S ALL. But seriously, it is so different knowing that I don't have to cram all of the errands, groceries, cleaning, laundry into the two day weekend. I can spread things out and play with the kids without feeling like I have to run and get something done. I look forward to playing outside into the late afternoon and spending days at the pool and just doing whatever we want without having to be and do. I know I will get tired and run down but it feels good to have a break from the week after week crazy. And maybe I will have some time to take photos and blog a little more too.
