Gray is 23 months!

23 months

In just a month, this little guy is going to be turning TWO!

He LOVES to be outside and loves wearing his rain boots

He is such a little sweetie and also closely rivals his sister with his strong will

He is a new adventure every day. He is one VERY busy little guy.

I adore watching the relationship of these two little munchkins develop

Oh and they LOVE their Daddy. I captured their excitement one evening when Daddy got home from work. He is such a good daddy.

When did she start looking so old???

She loves her rain boots too

She is quite the little gardener. She LOVES working in the garden with mommy!

My big four year old

And this photo is the best mother's day present i could have gotten (and we didn't have to completely dance on our heads to get it!)

It was a good Mother's Day. I was lucky to get to spend the morning with Jared before he had to go to work and then spent the afternoon with my mom.

We played at the park and went back to mom and dad's for a cookout

It was a big weekend for this lady as she celebrated her birthday on Saturday. For her birthday, she wanted her family to commit random acts of kindness and tweet them with hashtag #mrak (Mimi's random acts of kindness). You can see them here. She is one amazing woman and I am incredibly lucky to call her Mom.

I told Maya a story before bed last night about how much we wanted to have a baby and how happy it made me to be a mommy. I told her that I was so excited to find out that she was going to be born. She said "how did you feel about Gray mommy? very happy or very sad?" Silly girl! I told her that I was very happy but also very scared because i didn't know how I was going to take care of two babies.

I think we are doing okay though. Motherhood is definitely not for the faint of heart and it certainly is not pretty all the time. I am a good mom, but I definitely have my moments that aren't so good. I try to always cherish my time with them, but I don't always. I try to keep my patience, but I lose it more than I would like. I try to stay calm, but I yell more than I would like. I try to go with the flow, but I get frustrated more than I like.

BUT I try everyday to be better than the last, and I like to think that I am a good mom more often than not. And I love those little ones and their daddy, more than anything and I believe that is all that really matters.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers who hold babies in their arms, in their hearts, or are waiting with arms wide open. Today we celebrate moms!
